These are the 2022-2023 winter series rules.  Rule changes may occur during the racing season if we feel it's for the betterment of our racing program or for the betterment of a particular class.

Rule update in the street stock class 11/24/2021.  The Associated DR10 is allowed; however, you must change the motor to meet our rules.

We believe in giving every person a class to have fun in and be competitive in.  We have constructed our classes for each person to be able to progress from a lower skill level class to a higher skill level class, without having to spend a fortune.  Instead of trying to explain to each individual person what he or she can and cannot race, we have broken each class down into a skill level.  Some classes are listed in more than one skill level.  This is a guideline we will follow for drivers to race in multiple classes.  There can be exceptions and some may be made depending on circumstances.  Our main goal is to have a class for every driver to be competitive in.

These rules are in place to maintain a family environment.  If you wish to participate with us, these rules must be followed.

Club Races are $10 per entry for each person.  For example - one person enters 3 cars = $30

All drivers 15 years old and younger are $5 per entry.

Family Rate (family members in the household)  $45 maximum.

Transponders

Transponder change beginning in the 2021 season.

The transponder is a My Laps seven digit transponder.  RC4 decoder

Every car must have a transponder if it's on the racetrack.  The only exception is the Beginner class.  You are not required to have a transponder; however, your laps will not be counted.

Transponders are available for rent and can also be purchased at the Hobby Shop.

Race format

The format will consist of two rounds of heads-up heat races.  You will be awarded race points based on your finishing order.  Alphabet soup mains will be based on race points.

General Racing Rules

No gyros or items attached to your vehicle for stability control purposes.

All of our classes have an open tire rule.

Reverse is only allowed in the Beginner Class.  Any driver that uses reverse during a race will be docked one lap.

Racing will be closely monitored for rough driving.  Drivers will be given a verbal warning for rough driving.  If the driving behavior continues, the driver will be disqualified from the race.

Each driver should do their best to be courteous and respectful to other drivers.  For example:  If you go into a corner and take a car out, pull over and let the car have the spot back.  This kind of driving is looked at differently than if you take a car out and keep going as if nothing happened.

A maximum of2 minutes will be allowed between each race for drivers to get their car on the track, checked in, and make adjustments.  If any driver is not on the track after 2 minutes, the race will start without them.

Turn Marshaling

Each driver needs to be prepared to turn marshal immediately following their race.

During the mains, typically the driver who transfers will not have to turn marshal.

If you have a legitimate reason you cannot be a turn marshal, please contact Charlie, Eric, or the race announcer, and you will not be asked to turn marshal races.

Series Points system

Points stay with the driver.  A driver may use another car to earn points.

The winner of the A main earns 100 points.  Every position behind first drops down 1 point.

Points continue to drop off 1 point from the last finisher in the A main to the first finisher in the B main, and so on.

Points will continue to drop to 85 points and stop.  All drivers who finish below that position will earn 85 points.

To earn points in the Mains, you must at the very minimum, be on the track ready for your Main.  For example: you are doing some hot laps and brake before the A Main gets started.  You will earn fifth place points.  Another example: you earn a spot in the A Main, but for some reason you leave before your Main begins.  If there are 10 cars in the class, you will earn 10th place points.

Qualifying points do not count towards series points and will only be used to sort the Mains for individual race nights.

Each racer will be allowed one drop for the year in each class.

Teching cars

Any car can be teched at any time by Eric, Charlie, or a person they designate.

If any car is found to be in violation of the class rules, the driver will lose points.  The loss of points will be at the discretion of the track owner.
